Your Elaa is a life-long companion and we promise to help you keep it that way.

“What makes the desert beautiful,' said the little prince, 'is that somewhere it hides a well...”

    - Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince

Touine is named after the Tawĩ, a type of water well that irrigated and sustained desert communities for millennia.

Sourced from a single date palm plantation, Touine is made from the shedding fronds of the date palm tree to create a visually striking and physically tactile pen. Each frond is carefully selected, cured and handcrafted to create Touine.

With its distinctive Qalam cap and Mastaba base, every Elaa pen is made to feel at home on a desk or as a ritual/ceremonial writing instrument.

Whether for yourself or as a gift, Touine is designed to be a special and engaging companion to its thinker.

Limited to 71 individually-numbered units; this is Elaa's launch edition.

Designed by Elaa's founder and handcrafted in the Emirates.
